Will i be locked in? In the UK it is illegal for a business to lock anyone in a room so players would never be trapped, we just give the appearance that you are. If at any time a participant requires to leave the room they can do so.
where are you? Brainyaxe is located at 15 Hope Street, Inverkeithing. We are approximately half a mile away from Inverkeithing Train Station and are accessible via any of the main bus routes. There are plenty of free car parking spaces nearby.
how have you made brainyaxe COVID secure? We have undertaken a COVID risk assessment which will be available for you and your party to view. We have adjusted our times between each activity which will allow us to clean all items and areas thoroughly in between bookings, using industry-approved cleaning materials. A deep clean will be performed at the end of each day ensuring that the facilities are disinfected ready for participants the following day. All participants will be required to use the provided hand santiser located at the entrance and within the escape room. We will employ "social distancing" as required but you will be briefed on any requirements prior to, and on your arrival. We have also adjusted our times to ensure there is no crossover between booking parties. You are asked, at this time to wear a face-covering.
Our staff have all received COVID-19 training and will be following current guidance also.
UPDATE: With the new Scottish Government Guidelines which come into effect on 14/09/20 (maximum of 6 people from 2 households) you will be asked to confirm when booking that you adhere to these new guidelines.
Is brainyaxe accessible? Unfortunately, not all areas are accessible for wheelchair use (including the toilet). We appreciate everyone's situation may be different so please feel free to contact us regarding any access requirements.
Are toilets available? Yes, there is a toilet available for use during your visit with us. However, the toilet is not suitable for disabled use. This is due to the age of the building and the toilets limited size. (NB: Due to the COVID situation toilet facilities are not available at this time.)
what should i wear? We recommend sensible, comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear. Strictly no open-toed shoes/sandals or high heels.
can I book an experience for someone else? Of course you can, our experiences are perfect for birthday surprises, anniversaries and other celebrations. You can book experiences for a specific date/time or you can purchase one of our gift certificates available in our online shop. Remember though if you are booking for someone else we need your details as the booker (in case we need to contact you) otherwise, we may let the cat out of the bag and unknowingly spoil the surprise if you use their contact details on the booking.
